quality mark
We are pleased and excited to announce that on the 1st December 2011 Vision Teaching was awarded the REC Quality Mark with a 100% pass rate!

What is the Quality Mark?
The Quality Mark is an accreditation that sets minimum standards for agencies to work to in areas such as the way they recruit, interview and safeguard candidates, and the way they check and manage candidates' performance. The Quality Mark was launched in July 2002, as a joint initiative between the Department for Education DfE and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation, REC, to help drive up standards for everyone in the sector.
The main objectives of the Quality Mark are:
- To recognise private sector supply agencies and LAs who are able to demonstrate that they meet standards of good practice in managing and providing supply teachers for schools
- To enable schools and temporary teachers to feel confident about the quality of the agencies they are working with
- To raise the standard and status of supply teaching
- To recognize the contributions made by supply teachers, agencies in supporting schools
How did we gain Quality Mark?
In order to gain Quality Mark Vision Teaching were required to submit detailed evidence to show they meet the required standards, this evidence included policy documents, details of internal processes & procedures and documentation in support of these processes. To ensure compliance with each standard Vision Teaching were subjected to a rigorous inspection audit by the REC Quality Mark Team.
What does Quality Mark mean to me?
For Schools:
Quality Mark should give increased confidence to schools, parents and pupils that staff supplied by Vision Teaching have gone through a rigorous selection process that encompasses the relevant checks and correct recruitment procedures. It should also offer assurance that legal obligations have been met as well as the provision of access to CPD for all teachers.
For Candidates:
Candidates should be confident that in Vision Teaching, they have selected an accredited and reputable service that will add value to their experience as supply teachers. It should also offer assurance that all legal obligations have been met as well as
the provision of access to CPD for all teachers.
