Pupils with SEND across the UK have experienced unprecedented disruption to their education during the last year. Schools have been trying to ensure these children have the right support when it comes to remote learning including offering academic and social support for these children. For many, online learning is extremely difficult to cope with, as such schools will be looking at bringing in specialist intervention support staff to bridge the ever growing gap.
The role and responsibilities: -Working 1:1 and also with small groups of pupils -Supporting with work and helping to bridge the gap -Monitoring emotional well being through regular check-ins and liaising with parents/carers -Minimising disruption through behavioural management techniques -Creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for all pupils
