Primary SEND TA - ASD - Mitcham

Vision Teaching are currently working with a primary school in Mitcham which specialises in Autism. They are looking for an experienced Learning Support Assistant to work with pupils on the Autistic spectrum in KS1 & KS2. This is a full time role which will start in May 2021. You will be required to support students with Autism at KS1 & KS2 with moderate behaviour, some pupils will be verbal and nonverbal at all ends of the Autistic spectrum, this school operates a 1:1 ratio to all pupils

Within the role you will have to work closely with the Head teacher, class teachers, your team and most importantly the students parents. The working hours will be 8.15am-4pm, Monday to Friday. There is also the opportunity for the right candidate to be taken on permanently!

This school welcomes applicants that do not have much experience but require Learning Support Assistants that are ready to dive straight in with a can-do attitude and flexible approach to the role. You must have great literacy skills and be able to liaise with the students parents effectively.
