Vision Teaching are currently supporting a primary alternative provision based in New Malden. This organised provision are looking for a HLTA (Higher Level teaching Assistant), to join their experienced team. This provision works with pupils who are at risk of exclusion and children attend 2-3 days per week whilst remaining on roll and attending their mainstream schools. You will be part of a small, close knit team who are highly experienced. Pupil numbers will not be higher than 8 per day.
This is a full time role, 5 days a week and will last for the duration of the academic year. They are looking for someone who has excellent understanding of the primary curriculum, knowledge of emotional literacy interventions and other school based strategies and interventions. Good behaviour management skills.
They will consider very experienced TAs with training in de-escalation and positive handling and experience of working in a specialist setting for pupils with SEMH / challenging behaviour You will need: · Experienced working with primary pupils with SEMH and SEN · Experience of best practice working with challenging behaviour · Ideally with experience in a SRP/PRU/Special school setting · Understanding of primary curriculum and differentiation
